The majority of people love to eat strawberries. They can be used to create DIY cosmetics. Strawberries have nourishing and bactericidal properties, they’re also a rich source of vitamin C. How to prepare fresh homemade cosmetics based on strawberries?

Strawberries look and smell amazing and they have many fans. When it gets warmer, people wait eagerly for the first strawberries. Not many know that those tasty fruits have wide cosmetic use. They can be used to make a delicious dessert or a conditioning mask. Strawberries possess astringent qualities so they’re great for everyday care. Preparing strawberry cosmetics that have a spectacular impact on our skin takes only a moment.

Strawberry cosmetics and nourishing substances

Strawberries contain numerous valuable substances that have a positive effect on the human organism and the way the skin looks. They nurture and regenerate because they’re full of these vitamins and minerals:

+ vitamin C – evens the skin colour, an antioxidant,
+ vitamin A – regenerates, evens and nourishes the skin, makes it supple,
+ B group vitamins – improve skin condition, rejuvenate, great in the fight against acne and skin problems,
+ phosphorus – has a regenerative effect on the epidermis,
+ iron – improves skin tone,
+ calcium – retains water in the epidermis,
+ magnesium – has anti-ageing properties,
+ sodium – promotes blood circulation and hydration of the skin.

Strawberries cosmetics – DIY

– Strawberry scrub

Crush a few big, ripe strawberries with a fork. Add a tablespoon of coarse brown sugar and scrub your legs with the homemade scrub. In the case of face peeling, go for superfine white sugar.

– Strawberry whitening toothpaste

Add one tablespoon of baking soda to a few crushed strawberries and mix. Apply the product onto a toothbrush and brush your teeth for a few minutes. Repeat the process every day and after a few weeks you will notice that your teeth are significantly whiter. 

– Strawberry moisturizing mask

Crush a handful of strawberries with a fork. Add a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of fat quark (a type of white cheese). Mix and apply to your face. Remove after 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Apply a face serum and then moisturizer.

– Brightening mask from strawberries

Crush strawberries, add one yolk and a tablespoon of potato flour. Mix and apply the mixture to your face. Remove with the use of warm water after 30 minutes. If your face feels stiff, pat some light cream on it.

– Regenerating mask from strawberries

Blend 10 strawberries in a blender. Add 5 tablespoons of milk or sour cream (if your strands are extremely damaged). Spread the mask over your hair and leave it under a cover for 20 minutes. Then, wash your hair thoroughly and rinse with lukewarm water. The mask can be used a few times a week if necessary.

– Strawberry mask for oily skin

Blend strawberries with whipped egg white. Apply to your entire face, avoiding eye areas. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

– Strawberry mask for dry skin

Crush a few strawberries with a fork, add a tablespoon of semolina and a tablespoon of honey. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes. Apply the thick mixture to your face and remove with the use of warm water after 20 minutes. Finally, apply a face moisturizer to your face.
