If you are also a fan of eco-friendly and natural beauty solutions, you’re going to like today’s post. After many attempts I managed to come up with two recipes for game-changing antiperspirants. Both of them are made from ingredients you’ve got in the kitchen!
Who should go for homemade antiperspirants?
- people who want to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle
- people who struggle with ingrown hair
- people who are allergic to readymade antiperspirants
- people who like testing new beauty trends
A homemade antiperspirant really pays because it is as effective as products from the store. Plus, it is more budget-friendly. The components are the most important, though! DIY antiperspirant contains ingredients you know very well while readymade ones are jam-packed with synthetic aromas, preservatives, and harmful aluminum derivatives.

- Put your antiperspirant into a container with a cap, e.g. an old loose powder jar.
Recipe for homemade antiperspirant
Essential ingredients:
- 50 ml rose water
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 drops essential oil (I use lemon oil)
Preparation:
- Slightly heat up rose water in a pot.
- Add baking soda and essential oil. Mix the ingredients.
- Wait until the mixture cools off and pour your antiperspirant into a spray-on bottle.
Essential tips
- Keep your homemade antiperspirant in the fridge.
- As far as the first antiperspirant goes, apply it using a powder puff, brush or sponge.
- Allow the antiperspirant to be fully absorbed to avoid stains.
- Instead of coconut oil, you can use sweet almond oil which works wonders on sensitive skin.
- Use any essential oil you like.
Good luck while making your natural antiperspirants! I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.
