Tanning is not everything – how to take care of your skin in the summer

Summer is usually associated with sun, tanned skin and warmth. A nice look and hanging out on the beach is not everything. If you are planning a holiday in warm countries or long walks through the streets of your hometown, then you must consider one thing. Regardless of the circumstances, your skin needs proper care. How to take care of the skin in summer?

Protect and enhance

Does your skin get dry in the summer? This is probably due to the burning sun, high temperature, low humidity or dry and conditioned air. What’s more, it can show discolouration, wrinkles, burns and even tumour. How to protect yourself from such imperfections? You should wear a headgear and sunglasses, avoid the sun between 10 am and 4 pm, apply creams with a UV filter and drink the right amount of water. Moisturizing is also important in the care as well as protection of the skin in the summer. Therefore, the products you use should contain hyaluronic acid and glycerin, in other words, ingredients that will retain water in skin cells.

Nourish and strengthen

In summer, give up on more invasive treatments that could irritate the skin. However, do not give up laser therapy and chemical and mechanical peels. Instead, you can go for skin mesotherapy. During the procedure, the specialist uses hyaluronic acid, which will retain water in the skin and prevent the formation of wrinkles and discolourations. A good solution will be to get injections with platelet-rich plasma. Thanks to such treatment, the skin will be more luminous, nourished and refreshed.

Shape the body

In summer, you can undergo body contouring treatments. One of them will be cellulite removal using ultrasonic cavitation, cold laser, massages or drainage. The reduction of fatty tissue also uses endermologie, radiofrequency or combined treatment using all these methods. Another anti-cellulite treatment is called the carboxytherapy – it’s based on injecting carbon dioxide into the skin. Its task is to increase blood circulation, widen blood vessels and smooth out the skin surface.
