Where do the pores come from?

Pores are some kind of a vent of the sebaceous glands. When the latter produce excess sebum, the pores expand to get rid of it. The pores, although not very aesthetic, are vital to us. Impurities often accumulate inside of them, which causes their clogging and, as a consequence, the formation of blackheads.

How to minimise the face pores?

To close the pores on the face or at least reduce their visibility, you must take proper care of the skin. First of all, under no circumstances should you forget about removing your makeup, even if instead of a full coverage foundation, you use a light BB cream. You must allow your skin to breathe and regenerate at night. Secondly, it is worth giving up heavy cosmetics, for example, a silicone base or makeup fixer, which are likely to additionally clog the pores. Thirdly, do not forget about regular skin cleansing even without makeup. To do this, reach for facial gels, especially those that contain exfoliating particles.

Cosmetic treatments for enlarged pores

You can get rid of the enlarged pores yourself or in the beauty salon. Treatments offered by beauticians are aimed at cleansing the skin and exfoliating dead skin cells. As a result, the pores are minimised and the blackheads are removed. The most popular treatments include chemical and cavitation peeling, microdermabrasion and mechanical cleaning. Remember that regardless of the method chosen, the effect will be temporary. You cannot permanently remove enlarged pores.

At-home methods for minimising the pores

There are also homemade ways that will help you close the pores. Handmade masks, such as cucumber, green clay or peach, will help you minimize the problem of enlarged pores.

To prepare a cucumber mask, just slice it into thin slices and place them on a freshly washed face leaving them on for about 20 minutes. To make a mask made of green clay, you should dilute the powder with a little bit of water, apply it to the face and wash it down after about 20 minutes. In turn, to create a peach mask, cut the fruit into thin slices and put on the washed face. Leave for 20 minutes, then wash the skin with a delicate toner, for example, a cucumber toner.
