Dull, weak, falling out in handfuls. Is your hair like that, too? If so, you should make changes in your hair care and get some new products. You mustn’t make some mistakes, too. What are they? Must check them out!
Application of a shampoo and conditioner
Surprisingly, many people don’t know how to apply a shampoo or hair conditioner properly. Do you know you must thin a shampoo with water before applying it to hair and scalp? It is the only way for making the shampoo lather well. The washing and massaging technique matters, too. You can’t tear the strands or scratch the scalp. You must use gentle motions. In this way, you purify the scalp, increase blood flow and simply relax.
What about a hair conditioner? Follow the instructions on the label. Apply a conditioner from mid-lengths to ends. Otherwise, the product may weigh hair down and irritate the scalp. Precisely rinsing the conditioner out is essential, too. If you leave some of it in hair, it may cause dandruff.
Care for wet hair
Can you believe that wet strands are more prone to the external factors? That is why it is the key thing to always dry it after washing, sleep only with dry hair and never comb wet tresses. In this way, you avoid split ends, hair breakage and thinning. You also save yourself from catching a cold. After washing, gently towel-dry the strands and detangle with a wide-tooth comb. To make it run smoothly, apply a natural hair oil first.
Heat vs Hair
Every hair-loving girl knows that high temperature leads to hair damage, dull tresses and split ends. To avoid it, use protectants to shield strands from heat styling, UV radiation and other harmful sources of heat. During the blow-dry routine, make sure you don’t hold the nozzle too close to the scalp. Wear a hat on summer days.
Hair-Friendly Diet
Your hair deserves something tasty and nutritional. Firstly, drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet. Go for protein (poultry, dairy products, eggs and fish), vitamins (A, C, E, H, PP, B) and elements (iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, copper). Eat vegetables (tomatoes, carrots, pickles, spinach), fruit (strawberries, citruses, plums, peaches), cereals, nuts and products rich in fatty acids. Supplements (horsetail, nettle, fish oil) come in useful, too.
